How debugging practice became an arena — with real code, a clock and rivals.
p. 01 — the challenge
Make debugging fun, keep the code real.
Clash of Errors is a full-stack learning platform that turns debugging into a competitive, game-inspired experience. It brings coding challenges, timed rival battles, and arcade gameplay together through a shared account and progression system.
Different ways to practise, clear feedback, and every activity tied to progress that means something.
p. 02 — the solution
Three ways to learn, two ways to fight.
- 01Bug identificationFind the faulty lines in a code snippet.
- 02Write the functionCode against test cases until every one goes green.
- 03Code auditHunt a hidden defect inside a larger module.
- 04Rival battlesTimed duels against NPC rivals add pressure.
- 05Bug HunterDebugging tasks inside an arcade game.
p. 03 — try a round

p. 05 — technical approach
Run code safely, grade it honestly.
Coding exercises run in browser Web Workers with timeouts, so an endless loop can’t freeze the page. Bug identification and audit answers are graded on the server.
React and TypeScript with vinext and Vite, on Cloudflare Workers, D1 and Drizzle ORM. Persistent sessions handle sign-in, and a database-backed reward ledger prevents duplicate awards.
p. 06 — gameplay foundations
A third-person world, ready to grow.
A Three.js third-person movement preview with collision detection, camera controls, jumping and dodging — a foundation for further gameplay.
p. 07 — outcome
Real exercises, real game mechanics.
Clash of Errors brings practical coding exercises and game mechanics into one cohesive product.
what it demonstrates:
- Full-stack development
- Interactive interface design
- Browser-based code execution
- 3D gameplay foundations
